A friendly reminder that the Creative Entrepreneurs Club will hold its first ever event in Inverness on the 1st April, at The Green House from 5.30pm to 9pm.

This national organisation has organised "Beyond the Metropolis" to be  chaired by Bryan Beatttie from Scottish Executive and will take the format of presentations.

Emmy award winner Garfield Kennedy who is the Chief Executive of Posh Pictures in Glasgow and Alistair Murrary fromCaithness Multi Mediawill be discussing how creativity and the Creative Industries are associated with cities and the urban context and whether developments in contemporary technology mean that creatives can work anywhere. They will also be describing the opportunities/pitfalls in working outside the central belt?

After the presentations, there will be an opportunity for members to take part in the following free workshops:-

Liam Birkett from Bernardini, Birkett & Gardner Ltd will be hosting a workshop on “IP as a Marketing Tool”. This workshop will be held from 7.15pm – 7.45pm.

aimhi representatives will be hosting a workshop on making how to utilise the Highlands & Islands advantage to make creative industries work for you. This workshop will be held from 7.45pm – 8.15pm.

Please note that workshops will only hold 19 people.

Registration will take place between 5.30pm and 6.00pm, (when tea, coffee and sandwiches will be available). After networking and drinks, the evening will conclude at 9pm.

Please Note - There are only 65 places available at this event and places will be allocated on a first come first severed basis.
