PICT Innovation Limited is a young, dynamic not-for-profit organisation whose
mission is to stimulate and drive economic and social development in the
Highlands and Islands through research, commercialisation and application of
innovative information and communications technologies.
As ICT Research Manager the main purpose of your work is to manage an
extensive range of applied and near market ICT research projects. You will
also be responsible for building productive relationships with global companies
in the IT sector, academic institutions and with public sector
organisations.
The successful candidate will share PICT’s goals and values and be totally
driven by our customer needs. You must have a proven track record in project
management, and have a well developed ability to multi-task and deliver
beneficial research outcomes aligned with our mission. You will have a strong
grasp of current and emerging ICT technological developments and the vision and
enthusiasm to see how technology can benefit business and improve the quality of
our lives. You will probably be educated to degree level or equivalent in a
business or IT technology discipline, have 5-10 years of project management or
team leadership experience and have excellent communication, presentation and
influencing skills.
