Tore Wanscher, the Project Manager of the Nordic Creative Network: Jenka, paid the Highlands & Islands a 3 day visit between the 17th-20th November. Hosted jointly by Highlands & Islands Enterprise and aimhi, the visit is slated to be the first of a series of exchanges between creatives in Nordic Europe and the Highlands & Islands. Topics raised in this first visit include future collaboration on overseas missions and networking sessions; as well joint fundraising projects.
The exchange is expected to benefit aimhi by giving it access to the economies of scale that the Nordic network; covering 25 million people and boasting members like the Copenhagen Business school and some of Europe's most advanced business parks; possesses in spades. Jenka is currently the second largest creative network in the world after New England, whereas aimhi is one of the smallest (but oldest). In return, aimhi is expected to share some of the wealth of experiences as the one of the oldest creative networks still in existence.
