The Department for Culture, Media and Sport's new Creative Industries Minister James Purnell launched an online discussion forum to enable national debate on how Britain can become the world's creative hub.
He challenged industry to come up with ideas for building on the considerable success of the UK's creative industries - they already account for eight percent of the UK's economy - to put them back at the top of our economic agenda.
James Purnell said government and industry need to work together to ensure "we can turn talent into hits and hits into profits."
