Scotland's best design, fashion and music will be celebrated at a new awards ceremony hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman.
The inaugural Scottish Style Awards, which follow London Fashion Week on Friday the 30th of September, will feature a catwalk show profiling Scottish designers including Jonathan Saunders, John Ray for Gucci and Yong Hei Fong - each making an impact on the international fashion scene. The awards are aimed at promoting emerging design talent. The event, to be attended by 500 VIP guests, will begin with a champagne reception and a bespoke runway show by Scottish Ballet.
Mary McGowne, the organiser, said: "Ultimately, the Scottish Style Awards will draw attention to the wealth of talent which exists in Scotland across the creative industries and will also recognise and encourage the taste- makers of tomorrow."
