aimhi and Fusion are the Scottish partners of a Northern Peripheries Programme project called i2i (Integrate to Innovate).  As part of this project we have developed a website where you will find news of events and other activities to promote and support regional and transnational networking.
 
The project involves 5 transnational partners incorporating public, private and academic sectors.  The aim is to create a dynamic network of networks, integrating academic bodies, public sector organisations and micro-businesses/SMEs into a creative, collaborative and sustainable framework.
 
The countries involved are Scotland, Sweden, Iceland, Finland and Norway.  All have a great deal in common, and the idea is that all 5 countries and their public/private/academic participants will benefit from sharing knowledge and working together to find new ways of overcoming the challenges posed by geographic remoteness.
 
You can register your details on the i2i website to allow you to find opportunities, contacts and partners across the Northern Periphery area.  Once registered you will also find online tools to facilitate collaborative working - such as a notice board, a search facility to find other users, a means of communicating with other users, and shared file storage for collaborative projects.
