Postgraduate Certificate in Screenwriting (Online)

The Postgraduate Certificate in Screenwriting offers an introduction to the basics of the art and craft of writing for the screen.  These skills are then put into practice as students are guided through writing exercises leading to the development of at least two scripts.  The programme is delivered online and during three one-day workshops: Saturday 9th February, Saturday 21st June and Saturday 13th September 2008.

All students on this course will receive an INDUSTRY DELEGATE PASS (worth up to £350 in 2007) for the 2008 Edinburgh International Film Festival, now taking place from the 18th to the 29th June 2008.  The pass allows access to industry and public screenings, guest lectures, master classes, networking events, delegate centre and videotheque.  For more details visit: www.edfilmfest.org.uk

Want to make a low budget high value feature film on HD?

Supported by the Skillset Scotland Training Fund (SSTF) which is supported by the National Lottery through Scottish Screen, this 4.5 day intensive course will help directors and producers develop the skills they need to make a low budget digital movie with high production values.  Course elements include workshops with experienced professionals on finance and distribution, budgeting and scheduling, and shooting and editing Hi Definition video. 
Applications are invited from those with demonstrable and relevant experience in the professional audio visual industries.  Find out more

Course fees for Scottish based freelancers: £500 (NB - but may be further reduced see below)

Further assistance for Scottish based freelancers of up to 80% of course fees may be available from the Skillset Scotland Training Fund (SSTF) which is supported by the National Lottery through Scottish Screen.
