Whether you're a budding film-maker just starting out or
an established auteur, we encourage you to enter the
Fort William Mountain Festival's film competition.
The Categories and Prizes are:
• Young Filmmaker (under age 18): £400
• Best Short Film (approximately 10 mins): £600
• Best Scottish Film: £1,000
• Best International Film: £1,000
After the success of the 2007 film competition the festival is creating another opportunity for film makers from across the globe. Our aim is to celebrate mountain life and culture, giving both amateur and professional filmmakers an opportunity to show their work and share their passion for mountain culture. The theme of the film must be broadly about mountain life and culture but this can be interpreted as widely as the filmmaker wishes.
Films should be no longer than 1 hour in length as longer than this is difficult to accommodate into the Festival programme. Please submit entries to Fired Art, 147 High Street, Fort William, I Inverness-shire, PH33 6EA.
Entry forms and ‘Terms and Conditions’
can be downloaded from www.mountainfestival.co.uk/filmcompetition.htm or picked up from Fired Art. If you require any further information please email: robert@fired-art.co.uk or contact 01397 705928
Closing Date: 31st December '07
